Nagovor predsednika KZS

Spoštovani udeleženci 23. svetovnega prvenstva FMBB Ajdovščina 2018,
cenjeni gostje, dragi ljubitelji
psov!

Naj vam v imenu Kinološke zveze Slovenije najprej zaželim dobrodošlico in prijetno počutje v Ajdovščini, mestu gostoljubnih ljudi.
tekmovanja, prijetno počutje in obilico zabave.

Predsednik Kinološke zveze Slovenije

Presentation of SCS Ajdovščina

Sport Cynology Society Ajdovščina was established on 2 February 1987 following the initiative of amateur cynologists from the Upper Vipava Valley. It celebrated 25 years of successful activities in 2012. This anniversary was marked by unveiling the society's banner and holding a ceremonious annual assembly under the title "25 Years of
Cynology in Ajdovščina". The SCS Ajdovščina banner is a unique artwork epitomising values such as honour and pride. It is the mirror of the society and the symbol that embodies it. In 2017, the society celebrated 30 years of activities, which was also marked by a ceremony.

The desire to introduce new things is as old as the society itself. SCS Ajdovščina was the first to organise agility and
disc dog competitions. We are very proud of having organised the first unofficial agility competition in the area of
the former Yugoslavia. The club held the first CAC exhibition in the independent Slovenia and the first disc dog
competition in the territory of Slovenia. We were the first to organise an agility competition on two parallel parkour
grounds. In 2009, we also organised a CACIT competition of trained dogs.
The principal activity of the society is to train a guide to establish a proper relationship with their dog. Our society
offers different courses, from the elementary course and basic obedience classes (A, B-BH) to higher-level IPO
programmes (VO, 1, 2, 3) and agility.
Our society works with all dogs, regardless of their breed. The only thing that matters is the will and wish of a guide
to work with a dog.
Competitors, who present our society to the broader public, have always been an important part of the society, too.
In the recent years, we have had about 25 competitor couples representing our society at the national and
international levels. Our team has been the biggest at all competitions of trained dogs at the national level, which
shows that the club is not sleeping but working diligently and tirelessly.
